Mr. Michael Hrebenar attended West Virginia University and received a fellowship from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University. He is also a graduate of The Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Rutgers University. Mr. Hrebenar oversees all aspects of the corporation. Over the last eighteen years, he has been directly responsible for the acquisition and oversight of problem assets whose book values total more than $1 billion.

Prior to forming NC Ventures, Inc. in 1998, Mr. Hrebenar held numerous executive positions including: President and CEO of NAB Asset Corporation and National Asset Bank (a bank in liquidation), both public companies. He subsequently took the joint ventures held by those companies private; Senior Vice President of the National Loan Bank (a bank in liquidation), which was the first “junk” bank created in the US; and as the executive responsible for the development and implementation of a credit review department for Mellon Bank, in Pittsburgh, PA.

Mr. Hrebenar spent the first twenty-one years of his career with the U.S. Treasury Department as a bank regulator and was accorded the title of Senior National Bank Examiner. He was in charge of the Pittsburgh region and performed many special projects for the Comptroller of the Currency over the years.

Executive Vice President / CFO & Director

Ms. Tracy Weakley, a Certified Public Accountant, graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Over the last 12 years, she has been responsible for the oversight and management of the organization's financial activities along with analyzing accounting and operating data. She is also responsible for investor relations and reporting.

Ms. Weakley was previously a Senior Auditor for a public accounting firm based in Houston, where she supervised staff members, provided value-added services to clients, and performed a variety of reviews and audits on a diversified client base.

Ms. Weakley spent the first six years of her career with Focal Corporation, where she progressed to Regional Manager. Her duties included analyzing operating data, managing revenue and expenses, and overseeing the operation of twenty-one Blockbuster video stores.

Executive Vice President / Director

Mr. Ed Hrebenar is a 1985 graduate of Duquesne University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a major in Marketing. He joined the company in 2006 as a part-time consultant responsible for oversight and development of several of the company’s business acquisitions. Joining full time in November 2007, Mr. Hrebenar currently manages the REO department, oversees and performs much of the due diligence required for the loans purchased by Key Star Capital, manages a loan portfolio and continues overseeing several of the company’s business acquisitions.

Prior to joining the company, Mr. Hrebenar successfully operated a Florida business. He was directly responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations including sales, management, marketing, finances and customer relations.

Mr. Hrebenar began his career with Computer Associates as a software representative in the Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio areas.

In 2015, Mr. Hrebenar earned the designation of Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM). A CCIM is a recognized expert in the disciplines of commercial and investment real estate.

Executive Vice President / Director

Mr. James Hrebenar is a 1983 graduate of Duquesne University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a major in Accounting. In 1998, he assisted in the set up and formation of NC Ventures, Inc., and was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company. This responsibility has included, among other items, overseeing the purchase, servicing, and disposition of over 13,000 loans contained in over 300 portfolios split between fifteen different Partnership Ventures. The principal balance of these portfolios exceeds $840 million. He is currently responsible for new acquisitions.

Over the previous fifteen years, Mr. Hrebenar supervised management and leasing, and also had the billing and collection responsibilities for more than 20 commercial real estate properties throughout Texas and Tennessee, valued at several hundred million dollars.

Mr. Hrebenar began his career with the U.S. Treasury Department, examining National Banks throughout New England.
